In the beginning of the 90' s, the Ford Company wanted to present the drivers with a new and affordable sports car – the Ford Probe II. Despite its attractive appearance, it didn' t draw much of the market and now the prices are falling at a rather steady pace.
The body of the used Ford Probe II is that of a typical sports car of its times; low chassis, aerodynamic lines and pop-up headlamps. The interior gives a similar feel; enough place in the front, but don' t even think of transporting some adults in the back, as space is quite limited to say the least. The engines of the used Ford Probe II tend to be too weak for a car of this size, so don' t save on this one and buy the largest there is( possibly the 163 HP V6 engine ), which will give it acceleration proper to its looks. Equipment levels are pretty good: ABS, twin front airbags, alarm, electric windows and alloys as standard, while with the V6 version you get 16 inch alloys, cruise control and an electric sunroof. As the used Ford Probe II depreciates at a rapid speed, you can find a model for a ridiculous price, but don' t be mislead by fake bargains; the cars’ cheap price had encouraged young and reckless drivers to exploit this car to its last bits, so finding a used Ford Probe II in a good shape may not be such an easy task. Still if you' ve decided on buying it, a mint-shape model will be a good investment for the future.
